Salcha-Delta SWCD offers many services and programs to assist cooperators in carrying out their conservation needs.
 
In addition, the District offers inspection and calibration for sprayers, a full range of GIS services, Watershed Planning, and a range of cost-share programs. 

 




Noxious Weed  and Certified Forage and Straw
Noxious Weed Program
Water quality testing at Quartz and Clearwater Lakes and Clearwater River
Water Quality Program
Conservation ed including outdoor school, tree tapping, and watershed health are part of the program
Conservation Education
Nitrate movement in CFO's, irrigation scheduling, soil pH testing are some projects being followed by the District

Services

Cost-share for soil, manure, and forage testing is  available from the District. Contact the District Office for details


Sprayer calibration and inspection, weed scouting
Sprayer calibration and inspection

Free sprayer inspections and calibrations are performed by the District. This can result in improved chemical and cost effectiveness. Weed scouting services are also available to the insure proper product is being used by farmers.

Certified straw and forage inspection

The Certified Noxious Weed Free Straw and Forage Program meets the requirements for federal land users such as guides and dog mushers.


The District provides crop, berm, and fenceline spraying services for nominal rates to cooperators who either don't have the equipment or the time to spray for themselves.
