    Repair approximately 660 linear feet of eroded stream bank by installing riprap, root wads, geotextile, etc.

    Project plans, specifications, maps and proposal requirements will be available at the mandatory Site Showing. Failure to attend or arrive on time may result in the proposal being considered non-responsive. Questions and answers resulting from the Site Showing will be emailed to attendees.

    Please RSVP site showing attendance prior to the day of the showing to the Project Manager (see below).

    Requirements: Contractor must be licensed, bonded and insured and offer proof prior to award of contract.

    SUMMARY OF WORK
    1.01 DESCRIPTION.
    In general, the Work under this Contract includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following major items as specified in these documents and as shown on the Project Map. The following descriptions are provided as an outline of major work items, and shall not be construed as an inclusive or complete listing of all Items of Work under this Contract.
    The contract will be awarded based on the proposal summary sheet.

    1.01.1 Designated Site.
    607 SONJA, NORTH POLE, ALASKA

    Description of Work.
    Bail 12,000 yards of gravel, proposals will be evaluated on the drag lines boom length.

    Specifications: Completion date September 6st, 2018.

    3.01 PROJECT ACCESS. The site is accessed through Fort Wainwright.
    1.) Ensure that employees possess necessary documents to gain access to Post. The list may include but is not limited to: valid Alaska driver’s license, current vehicle registration, and proof of insurance and appropriate CDL endorsements.

    NOTE: There is no Site Showing for this project.

    Due Date: Proposals must be received by August 14, 2018 @ 10:00 AM. Proposals received after this time will be returned to the sender and marked “non-responsive.”

    Proposal Requirements:
    Submitted Proposal must be completely filled out and signed; and include the company’s name and contact information.

    Questions and Addendum:
    All questions regarding this RFP must be submitted via email only and received by August, Monday 13 @ 10:00 AM
    RSVP to [email protected] to receive Addendums.
    If questions are submitted they will be answered through an Addendum released via email and on the calendar at salchadeltaswcd.org “contractors-portal” on the following dates:
    Addendum 1: Thursday August 9, 2018
    Addendum 2: Monday August 13, 2018
    It is the contractor’s responsibility to check for Addendum prior to submitting a proposal.

    A copy of the appropriate contractor’s license and proof of required insurance must be on file with the Salcha-Delta SWCD before contract will be awarded.

    In addition, the proposal must include the following information:
    Total Job Price – The total job price must cover all costs necessary to complete the job and fulfill the contractual responsibilities as stated in this Request for Proposal. It is to include, but is not limited to, equipment costs, fuel and maintenance expenses, operator’s wages, transportation of equipment to and from the site, set up costs, insurance, and potential road damage repair.

    NOTE:
    • It may take up to 45 days after acceptance of contractor’s invoice by the Salcha-Delta SWCD before funds are received and payment can be made by the Salcha-Delta SWCD.
    • Must comply with appropriate OSHA and MSHA regulations.
    • The Salcha-Delta SWCD reserves the right to refuse any and all proposals.
    • Depending on funding, there is a potential for increased effort to be awarded under this contract; increases will be awarded at our discretion and without re-offering.

    Project Name: FWA TA 108 TARP
    SOW #: 18-107

    Clearing component of the SOW to be completed by October 15, 2018.
    Trails construction component of the SOW to be completed by June 30, 2019.

    Location: Fort Wainwright Training area
    Meet at the TA 108 parking lot on River Rd, Fort Wainwright across the road from the land fill. Attached is a PDF map of the Site Showing meeting location.

    Items of Work: Items of work include but are not limited to:

    Blue Section on attached map: Approximately 1.49 miles (7900’) of Trail
    1. Mulch vegetation area 40’ wide to no more than 2” diameter and 2’ in length along trail route.
    2. Clearing area dressed to be maintainable with a pull behind type DR mower.
    3. Grub the stumps and overburden within the footprint of the trail.
    4. Subbase to be graded and compacted prior to goetextile placement.
    5. Install a minimum of 18” compacted aggregate.
    6. Trail to have a top width of 16’.
    7. Trail to have a 2% crown.
    8. Side Slope’s shall be 2H:1V and constructed straight and neat.

    Orange Section on attached map: Approximately 1.71 miles (9000’) of Trail
    1. Mulch vegetation area 30’ wide to no more than 2” diameter and 2’ in length along trail route.
    2. Clearing area dressed to be maintainable with a pull behind type DR mower.
    3. Grub the overburden within the footprint of the trail.
    4. Cut to install V ditches
    5. Subbase to be constructed from onsite borrow and compacted.
    6. All rutting and holes to be cut/filled and compacted.
    7. Trail to have a width of 12’.
    8. Install blockades to limit access on orange trails to ATV and Side by Side traffic.

    Site showing attendance is mandatory. Failure to attend or arrive on time may result in the
    proposal being considered non-responsive. Project plans, specifications, maps, proposal requirements and due date will be handed out at site visit. Questions and answers resulting from the Site Showing will be emailed to attendees.
